Boracay 2017 (June 15-18)
Me and my hubby went to Boracay for our 6th Wedding Anniversary.
DIY travel. No travel tours included.
One of the most famous beach in the Philippines. Went there when I was 17 years old with my cousins. From that day, I fell in-love with the place. And promise to myself I will come back. And after 10 years, YES, 10 years, was able to go back to the place with my hubby. 😊
First, we went to Travel Expo, hoping to get a promo. Pumila kami almost an hour. Nakakuha kami ng promo, when we got home, late ko na na-realize parang ang late na ng nakuha naming flight to Kalibo (5:45PM), so we decided to get a ticket again to Cebu Pacific Air, its not a promo fare, but we got a deal na kaya sa budget.
Day 1:
MNL-KLB (Cebu Pacific) our flight is 10:55AM. Umalis kami ng bahay around 7:00AM. Arrived at NAIA Terminal at 9:00AM. We did self check-in para di na pipila. We don't have a check-in baggage naman. 😊
Thank God, its not delayed!
All set! |
At round 11:15AM, airplane took-off. And we landed safely at Kalibo Airport. Flight is less than 45 minutes.
Kalibo Airport:
When we arrived at the airport, daming choices na nag-ooffer papuntang Caticlan Jetty Port, you just have to ask them how much and what they offer beside sa papuntang Port. Pumunta kami sa konti lang ang pila which is KIATTA. 😁 The lady told us 250Php/pax for Van and Boat Ride to Caticlan Jetty Port. So, we paid 500Php for two.
We waited for less than 40 minutes para mapuno ung van. Hindi masikip ung van, pang-tatlong tao lang per row para relax and comfortable. 😊 Dumaan pa kami ng Jollibee Drive-Thru kasi ung byahe will be less than 2 hours. Thanks kuya driver, you make sure na di kami magugutom sa byahe. 😊
Caticlan Jetty Port:
Arrived at Caticlan Jetty Port at 2:15PM. We paid 100Php/each for Terminal Fee and 75Php/each for Environmental Fee.
When we already paid, pumasok na kami sa Port. One guy approached us, he's one of the KIATTA coordinator. I think they are partnered with Boracay Express. We signed for the registration. Waited at least 15 minutes for the boat to arrive. And 10 minutes travel time to Cagban Jetty Port.
View from the boat. 😍 |
To Cagban Jetty Port.

Accommodation:
We stayed at Indila Boracay. It is located in Station 2, (Behind Hennan Lagoon, next to PCTV). Staff is nice, friendly and approachable. Hotel is clean. The only downside is ung paglabas mo ng hotel hindi pa paved. So minsan, maputik or medyo binabaha (hindi ung OA na baha na lulubog paa mo, hindi po yun) 😉. But overall, okay naman, importante is ung beach. 😂
Picture is exactly like on their Agoda/Facebook page. |
Panorama view of the room. |
We checked-in, after that kumain kami sa Andok's. Kasi wala pa kaming kain since nung umalis kami sa Manila. 😨 After we eat, nag-stay muna kami sa room namin to rest. We're dead tired sa byahe and sobrang init pa naman.
Finally, fressssh after a long travel!

We tried to wake-up at 7:00AM 😂 |
Powdery sand again! |
And again, yes, I'm obsessed with the sand! 😁
|
Sobrang linaw ng tubig.
|
Nung papunta kaming D-Mall, nakita namin si kuya, busy sa pag-paint ng damit. Ang galing nya!!! 😊 |
Afternoon walking to D-Mall. Bought Crazy Crepes, 120Php.
|
Afternoon walking to Boracay's Grotto. |
Cloud formed like a dolphin. 🐬 |
Hubby's signature pose, DAB! 😅 Sobrang linaw ng tubig makikita mo ung ilalim! 😂 |
And me, a peace sign na nakatalikod! 😅 |
Day 3:
1/2. Morning dip! |
2/2. Morning dip! Ang linaw ng tubig, sobra!! 💗 |

Lunch at Army Navy. |
Tambay lang. 😅 |
Ate dinner at Hap Chan Tea House, yan lang talaga ung picture kasi gutom na ko. 😂😂😂 |
Day 4:
Uwian na. 😢😢😢 Our flight to Kalibo is 11:25AM. This time, we used our AirAsia Ticket. We had to check-out early, kasi almost 2 hours drive to Kalibo.
Went to Main Road with kuya guard at Indila Hotel, sya nagsabi kay kuya tricycle driver na punta na kaming Cagban Port. (Staff at Indila Hotel is so nice and friendly.) Tricycle cost 120Php, yes, special trip again, kasi wala kaming kasabay. 😐
Nung nasa Cagban Port na kami, we paid 100Php for Terminal Fee plus 50Php for Boat Ride. Same company nung papunta kami. And 200Php for Van. Total we paid was 700Php.
Bye Cagban Port/Boracay!! See you soon!! |
Boracay Express Boat |
When we are in Caticlan Jetty Port, hinanap na namin ung van. In less than 2 hours, nasa Kalibo Airport na kami. Paid 400Php (for two na) for Terminal Fee. We did self check-in again. Waited for at least an hour to board.
Anyway, strict ang AirAsia pagdating sa baggage/hand carry weight. And they also weigh our laptop, unlike sa CebuPac, its exluded in hand carry.
Pauwi na. Magkahiwalay ung seat na nabigay samin, and we liked it though kasi parehas kami sa window side. 😅 |
View from my seat. 😍 |
METRO MANILA. 😳 |
Arrived MNL before 1:00PM |
And that's our Boracay trip!
As you observed, we did not do island hopping. We just enjoyed the beach. 😊 Also, I did not put all the food we ate. There are so many many many choices pagdating sa food and make sure na mabubusog kayo. 😁
Explore and enjoy Boracay and be ready to fall in-love with the place. 💓 Just remember dispose your garbage properly!!!
❗❗❗ UPDATE:
Boracay is now open to the public as of October 26.
